I am ... ONE Eighty ONE
This guy! Last but not least, is among my all time favorite people on the face of this earth! He's more than a fellow art hooligan, I absolutely adore being able to call him my friend. When we met, we did live art collab skate decks at one of our art homes, Spaghetti Prject. People thought we'd known each other forever, when in fact, we'd met just that night ... But who'd have known how this art love affair'd grow!
Always yelling 'I am one eighty one' & going on and on about rap leters ... he's true to this art game!

Tim Rodgers
We've followed each other on twitter & facebook and have I don't know how many friends and art hooligans in common, but I'd never had the pleasure of meeting the man behind the work until this year at G40. And boyyyyyyy was I NOT let down. There are so many ways to describe Tim Rodgers, but humble suits him best. I so enjoyed the fresh paint smell and bright colors in his room. My installation, only a few feet away, I figured would be a-ok without me in it so I could enjoy what Tim has to say.
Be sure to check him out for yourself!

G40 Installation Goodness
So, one thing that's hard about being an artist in shows is trying to see all of the other art! ... I mean, that's generally where the inspiration lies, right?! Well, G40 is ginormous this year and having to talk to people about my art, I didn't make it very far that night. BUT I can't say that where my installation is housed didn't have some pretty KICK A$$ installations, that I think my me a tiny bit green. LOL Naw, these artists kicked raw booty as they shared their art in some unique and fun fashions. ... and it was enough to make me wanna hide out in their spaces instead of being in my own *giggle*
Though I plan on making a day trip down to see more of G40 & share, of course ...
stay tuned~

We've Moved the KICKSTARTER Party ...
Good morning!
Today's the last day of y quite ambitous Kikcstarter goal. Unfortunately, I didn't do so well. BUT that's NOT to say that it wasn't a learning experience or that I won't be at iit again. BUT, for now there are a bit more pressing things ... painting for iPUKE KAWAiI show!!
As some of you know, I am still panhandling to help make my dreams come true for this solo exhibit. As a result, I have reactivated my blog to keep in contact and give some updates as my site is being rebuilt.
My hope is that you'll see something here that will make you believe in my art & donate to a great cause of sharing it on a larger scale. I have done two mini installations and will soon blog about those so you can see where allllll of this is going. There's also NEW work to be shared! I'm excited about it and I hope you will be too.
But for now, here we are. I hope you'll check back often as there WILL be updates, not just until May 11, but even past that. ;-D
All my love!

A Tokyo13 Production
I let my best lefty (well my ONLY lefty, LOL) in so we can chill ... the original plan was to drink beer & banter about randomness ...
INSTEAD, his agenda was a sneak shot preview of what we affectionately call the "AS (Artistic Sole) Headquarters" :: So if you want to know what I keep around to keep me inspired & how my friends totally rape my personal space to bring it live to y'all in the spirit of PURE randomness ... CHECK IT OUT!

NO! I'm NOT a fan of Hello Kitty! ... (But I WILL confess!)
So I decided to blog about the pic TokyoXIII took of me while we were chilling in my studio. Someone's going to see this & say "I KNEW she was lying about being a Hello Kitty fan!" This photo was a PURE coincidence.
That TOO was a gift. It was in a big pack of Hello Kitty goodness from last Christmas thanks to a good friend who knew that some of the simplest things ammuse me.
Really, here's my Hello Kitty confession. I think she's a MARVELOUS character. YES, I am a fan & respect her hustle LOL ... she's a simplistic character who can be passed around to artists to artistically abuse in their own way. Her look is timeless & can contribute to the artists' branding & vice versa.
Just look at the work that TokiDoki (of which I own the iPhone case AND wallet AND some plush btw), Tara McPherson, & Kimora Lee Simmons have done for the brand ... from kid to chic in 0.2 seconds everyone can recognize her swag from lightyears away.
Aside from that her happiness is infectious so it's hard NOT to love her. I want so much for Indian Pussy to be the "Hello Kitty of the States" ... Who knows! maybe they can be friends & rock out together!
Don't believe me, go play on Sanrio's Three Apples site or just Google her ;-D
So who WOULDN'T be a fan? There you have it!

NYCC 2010 :: Toys, Toys, Toys!
I know I'm over two weeks late, BUT so much was flying around about the Comicon aftermath that even I got overwhelmed. And rightfully so ... it was an AMAZINGLY jam packed time of yummy comic & anime goodness!
DISCLAIMER: These blog posts ONLY highlight some of our most obsessive finds :: In THREE parts (meeting artists/art finds, lots of oversized plush, & the costumes ... even I dressed up!) on this trip. The rest of the pics will be available for look-sees on our FB Fan Page as early as Wednesday when the LAST post is up. There ARE some contests sprinkled in the posts ... so read up & email answers toipbrand@artistic-sole.com
Of COURSE I'm a fan of the oversized plush. It's comfy multi-purpose collectibles. Who WOULD NOT any of these to be ready around the house for gaming, reading, or just lounging ..
Ok So this is someone's costume but an over-sized Domo in my house would be a WIN!
I'm a huge fan & for the individual who can email me Domo's origin ... there'll be a $200 tattoo gift certificate in your future!
Here are some other cool & awesome toys & toy displays ...
I'm also a huge fan of something of these forthcoming figurines ...
Answer right & GUESS WHAT!
there'll be a $200 tattoo gift certificate in your future!

FIRST UP! ... The one & only Camilla D'errico
I ABSOLUTELY love her art & became a huge fan over night. From the time I picked up Sky Pirates of Neo Terra I HAD to know who is responsible for these warm fuzzies of art I felt. Yup! It's her! I hope to tattoo her art (with a twist of IKB) on skin someday SOON!
I've recently been appreciating Art Nouveau & practicing it in skin, HEAVY! So I was more than ecstatic to meet & chat it up with Echo Chernik & her current model for her in progress series.
And of course I HAD to get a Deadpool cover drawn up & autographed ... Cuz Deadpool IS my superhero husband (he just never takes his mask off *le sigh*) :: guess the artist & you can get a $200 tattoo session. Email your answer to ipbrand@artistic-sole.com

Adventures in the A , Part 3 :: GOOD PLACES, PEOPLE & Other Randomness
FYI: This is a FOUR part blog post on The MISS-Adventures in ATL
Please join us on Monday 10/18 @ 11AM to hear from the clients of IKB & see what WORK we did ...
GREAT ATL PLACES!
So we went a leisurely stroll through good ol' Greenbriar Mall (y'all living in the A KNOW this place well) for random gems of amusement. For those in the DMV who aren't hip, Greenbriar is the equivalent of our Forestville Mall.
We lucked on a Play-n-Trade ... until now, I've EXCLUSIVELY rocked with Game Stop.
But where else can I find these AWESOME mascot heads of Mario & Sonic the Hedgehog?
For those sneaker nerds who are more than uninspired by what's out today in the world o' kicks
check out WISH for some yummy visual sneaker stimulation. Their display of kicks would leave you salivating.
Really ... what would a trip be WITHOUT stopping into my LCS (local comic shop) while in the A. OXFORD COMICS is among the highly favored & recommended stops for ANY comic collector.
Of course, our way out was on Comic Day (Wednesday) and this is the yumminess I settled on from there.
GREAT ATL FACES!
I ran into a 9 year old in Litle 5 Points hustlin' his CD so you KNOW I had to support the little homie, cuz he could be doing illegal hustlin' instead. As far as the Zombies ... what can I say? I pre-halloween surprise.
And more great folks floating around The City of Ink (one of my many biiiig brothers) & ROCKSTAR awsomeness that I hope to grow into in my "older age" ...
GREAT ATL RANDOMNESS!
Well! Those are Atlanta's Good Places, People, & Randomness I can count on when I'm chilling at The City of Ink. Be sure to follow us on Twitter & check out many pics that were not posted here in our Atlanta 2010 album on our FAN PAGE.
